Day-1 Trichy Arrival- Thanjavur Arrival at Trichy. Proceed to Thanjavur (60 kms/ 1.5 hrs). Visit Brihadeeshwar temple- a UNESCO World Heritage Site & Vijayanagar Fort. O/n at hotel in Thanjavur.
Day-2 Kumbakonam & Chidambaram Excursions Visit Kumbakonam (45 kms). Visit Lord Murugan Swamimalai temple. From there, travel to Chidambaram (70 kms/1.5 hrs) to visit Natraj Temple (a Panch Bhoot temple dedicated to Lord Shiva). Return to Thanjavur by evening & O/n at hotel in Thanjavur.
Day-3 Thanjavur- Chettinadu Travel to Kanadukathan (100 kms/ 2.5 hrs)- a heritage village of Chettiars (a prosperous business community) of Chettinadu. Visit Chettinadu Palace & Thirumayam Fort. Also, do shopping for antiques, Chettinadu sarees & Silverware. O/n at hotel in Kanadukathan/ Karaikudi
Day-4 Chettinadu- Madurai Travel to Madurai (100 kms/ 2.5 hrs). Visit Meenakshi temple, dedicated to Goddess Parvati, 2 Aarupadaiveedu temples (Lord Murugan temples). O/n at hotel in Madurai.
Day-5 Madurai- Rameshwaram Travel to Rameshwaram (160 kms/3.5 hrs). Visit Ramnathswamy temple (a Jyotirlinga temple). Also, visit Dhanushkodhi beach (20 kms), renowned for association with Ramayana. O/n at hotel in Rameshwaram
Day-6 Departure Early morning (4 am), proceed to temple for "Mani Darshan". Later, depart to Madurai airport/ railway station for onward journey. Tour ends.
